Getting Started

This utility needs to be set up before it can be used. This involves switching it on from the Preferences sections, listed under general and available from the Quickbooks Integration button.

Checking the box Quickbooks Integration will switch on the utility for permanent use.

Disable Progress Windows

If you want to disable processing messages at a  future date then check the Disable Progress Windows box. For now we advise this is left UNCHECKED.

Do not filter items ...

When invoicing, only items belonging to the worker by class will be displayed. To turn this feature off check Do not filter items ....

No Class On Invoice

When invoicing, you would normally select the worker from a drop down box which provides the list of workers registered on the system. Quickbooks however provides the Class feature as a way of replicating the same thing. So for example an item could be associated with a worker using the Class feature in Quickbooks. If this is NOT the way you work and you prefer to continue selecting the worker as normal then check this box.

Linking Numbers

Quickbooks holds contact numbers which are "hard coded" to a particular phone number type. In order to take advantage of the flexibility in Equine Vet Manager we provide a means of linking the types in Quickbooks to the types we use (or you have added). Simply select the type you use in Equine Vet Manager from the relevant drop down box and the import and export processes will automatically assign the correct numbers at the time.

The wizard will now issue a series of messages indicating that it is about to convert your Item Types as follows. The message will be different depending on whether you are using the UK or US/Canadian version of Quickbooks.

Currently your Item Types have been referred to as either a Product or Service. While Quickbooks uses Service it splits Products into various Item types.
